OVERVIEW

Krisha A. DiMascio, a senior counsel with Maiello, Brungo & Maiello, LLP, has extensive experience and skill in representing public school districts and municipalities as both Solicitor and Special Counsel. As part of MBM’s School and Municipal Team, Ms. DiMascio will utilize her years of experience in representing such public entities as a critical and beneficial team member and representative of those agencies.

Serving as a solicitor, special counsel, and general counsel for such public entities, Ms. DiMascio provides counsel on various critical issues such as employee discipline, collective bargaining negotiations with various unions, and the development and enforcement of school and municipal policy. With regard to representing school districts, DiMascio has extensive experience dealing with all student issues, including special education and gifted education programs.

She has extensive experience in attending public meetings and providing legal counsel and guidance in addressing various issues which may arise. DiMascio applies her legal experience and knowledge when addressing constitutional, statutory, and regulatory matters that affect our public clients. She has built long-term client-attorney relationships that furnish her with critical insight for creating proactive plans for the various public entities we represent.

Ms. DiMascio received her J.D. from Western Michigan University Cooley Law School and her bachelor’s degree from Duquesne University. She is admitted to practice in all Pennsylvania state courts as well as the United States District Courts for the Western District of Pennsylvania and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Brian D. Catanzarite is an associate at MBM Law and is a member of its Litigation practice group. He is an accomplished trial attorney with a distinguished career in criminal prosecution spanning nearly two decades. During the 18 years he worked in the Office of the District Attorney of Allegheny County, Brian gained exceptional experience in trial preparation, witness management, and trial advocacy.

Brian brings a wealth of knowledge to MBM Law’s Litigation team. In his legal career, Brian has tried over two dozen jury trials and over 100 non-jury trials. He was primarily responsible for complex case management when with the District Attorney’s Office and resolved thousands of complex cases.

In recognition of his contributions to the legal community, Brian was appointed to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s Criminal Procedural Rules Committee, serving from January 2019 to January 2025. Brian’s dedication to his profession and community has earned him several accolades, including recognition from the Mt. Lebanon Police Department for his “commitment to justice” and the United States Postal Service – Office of the Inspector General for his “prosecutorial efforts and outstanding support”. In 2018, he was honored with the Third Annual Salute to Legal Excellence Award.

Brian obtained his J.D. from Duquesne University Kline School of Law, after having earned his Bachelor of Arts degree at John Carroll University. He is an active member of the Allegheny County Bar Association, where he currently chairs the Judiciary Committee.
