MBM Law proudly announces that Brian Catanzarite, chair of the Allegheny County Bar Association’s (ACBA) Judiciary Committee, participated in two community events organized by Pennsylvanians for Modern Courts to educate Allegheny County voters about the judicial election process. The events, held on April 14, 2025 at the Homewood YMCA and virtually on April 28, 2025, brought together legal experts and community members to foster informed civic engagement.
Promoting Informed Civic Engagement in Allegheny County
Catanzarite received his J.D. from Duquesne University Kline School of Law in 2007, and his Bachelor of Arts degree from John Carroll University in 2002.
As chair of the ACBA Judiciary Committee, Catanzarite plays a pivotal role in upholding the integrity of the local judiciary. Elected by his peers, Catanzarite leads the committee in evaluating prospective judicial candidates, assessing their professional qualifications, integrity, commitment to equal justice, and judicial temperament. Catanzarite’s leadership ensures that voters and the legal community receive unbiased, thorough assessments of those seeking judicial office.
Empowering Allegheny Voters
During the panel discussions, Catanzarite was joined by former PA Supreme Court Justice the Honorable Jane Greenspan, attorney Marc Zucker, attorney Charles Eppolito, and attorney Deborah Gross. Together, they provided insights into the judicial election process and answered questions from the audience, empowering voters to make knowledgeable decisions at the polls. “Educating the public about judicial elections is key to a fair and effective justice system,” said Catanzarite. “Our goal is to give voters the information they need to evaluate candidates and understand the significance of their choices.”
