A Partner with Maiello Brungo & Maiello, Jennifer L. Cerce is a seasoned and determined real estate, business, and civil litigation attorney with over 25 years of experience.

Ms. Cerce works extensively with taxing bodies throughout western Pennsylvania handling tax assessments and exemption appeals for residential and commercial properties from office buildings to regional shopping centers to industrial parks. She represents clients at Administrative Hearings, the Court of Common Pleas, and Appellate Courts, where she has demonstrated her acumen for real estate tax law in successfully presenting and defending appeal actions.

Specializing in collecting delinquent school and municipal liens, claims, and taxes, Ms. Cerce has developed Maiello, Brungo & Maiello into a trusted delinquent tax collection firm for local governments and school districts. Ms. Cerce manages the firm’s Sheriff’s Sale Team and oversees sheriff sales in multiple jurisdictions in western Pennsylvania. She works closely with taxing bodies to better understand their objectives and to provide immediate updates and feedback.

Ms. Cerce’s outstanding legal results have earned her recognition as a Best Lawyer in America® for Real Estate Law, in the 2024 U.S. edition of Best Lawyers.

In the area of business law, Ms. Cerce manages the firm’s intellectual property matters including trademark and copyright review and registration.

Prior to her employment with Maiello Brungo & Maiello, Ms. Cerce clerked for the Judges of the Indiana County Court of Common Pleas, where she authored numerous opinions in all areas of law.
