Julia Wu is an associate with Maiello, Brungo & Maiello, LLP, focusing her practice in the areas of corporate, business and real estate law. She represents a variety of clients in an array of matters including entity formation, shareholder, partnership and membership agreements, asset purchase agreements and mergers and acquisitions.
Prior to joining Maiello, Brungo & Maiello, LLP, Ms. Wu began her legal career practicing civil litigation with a Michigan firm in both its East Lansing, Michigan and Birmingham, Michigan locations. After relocating to Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ms. Wu went on to practice with a distinguished family law and estate litigation firm, specializing in high-net worth individuals and small business owners. Ms. Wu’s experience in these various areas of litigation provides her with an understanding of a corporate client’s needs, such as corporate formation, contract provisions and succession of family owned businesses.
Ms. Wu obtained her juris doctor from the Michigan State University College of Law, where she graduated in two and a half years. During her time in law school, she received the Jurisprudence Award for earning the highest grade in Workers’ Compensation and earned a place on the Dean’s List every semester. She received her undergraduate degree from the University of Texas, located in her hometown of Austin, Texas. Ms. Wu was elected by her peers to serve on Council for the Young Lawyers Division of the Allegheny County Bar Association and was appointed as the Zone 12 Chair, representing the Pittsburgh Metropolitan area, in the Pittsburgh Bar Association. Ms. Wu also serves on the Young Professionals Board of Junior Achievement, a non-profit organization dedicated to preparing and educating young people about entrepreneurship and financial literacy.
Ms. Wu is licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the State of Michigan.
