David Raves is a Principal with Maiello Brungo & Maiello, LLP, practicing primarily in the areas of construction, suretyship and zoning.

Mr. Raves is also a registered architect in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. In nearly a decade of active architectural practice with firms in both Pittsburgh and Philadelphia, he developed extensive first-hand knowledge of the construction process, including site acquisition, design, construction administration and forensic analysis of construction deficiencies and claims.

Mr. Raves integrates his architectural experience with his legal practice, allowing him to quickly analyze and distill the complexities of construction into clear, concise and understandable issues for quick and cost-effective resolution. Although quick resolution has always been his primary goal, Mr. Raves does have extensive experience in claims resolution through negotiation, mediation, arbitration and litigation in both state and federal forums.

Mr. Raves has dealt extensively with suretyship issues involving payment bond, performance bond and maintenance bond claims. Additionally, he has been involved in surety takeovers, workouts, surety-assisted completions, and indemnity claims.

In addition, Mr. Raves has lectured at numerous professional seminars, authored various construction-related articles and is formerly an adjunct professor at the Duquesne University School of Law, teaching Construction Law.
